Abstract

The article focuses on the gap between African American income and Caucasian income in the U.S. It states that editorialist Roger Wilkins has written in the May 2010 issue of "Esquire," wherein he mentions that traumatic turmoil of the 1960s ended, it was easy for Caucasians to retreat into the world in which African American were not involved. It notes that the African American press declined because of economics and brain drain aspects. According to psychologist Nathan Hare, it is very difficult to produce money and become a voice for African American revolution.
