Abstract

The article offers information on the arson incidents happened in 1975 to the training center Gateway Project in Yuba City, California. It states that Gateway is developed to care for people that are mentally retarded, emotionally disturbed, and formerly involved with drug addiction. It mentions that the first arson incident occurred in February resulting to the loss of Gateway's main building worth 110,000 dollars and some of its equipment amounting to 60,000 dollars. It says that a Molotov cocktail started a new fire for Gateway on March 1, while former director Donald Garrett was found burning with inflammable liquid on April 5. It adds that at the welcome party for Gateway's new director Donald Larsen, two automobiles were found burning nearby the swimming pool of the center.
