Abstract

The article focuses on the moral issues associated to being human which is reflected in the paper "Eating Meat and Eating People," (EMEP) by Cora Diamond. It states that the paper of Diamond opposes to the claim of the anti-humanist thesis which views that human being has no inherent moral potency. It mentions that a part of the concept of human being plays a crucial role in moral life. It says that Diamond argues that not eating our dead reflects a form of respect for human beings. It adds that the concept of human being plays an essential role in the appeal to pain which explains that pain moves human being to respond to the person-in-pain.
