The articles assesses the probability, impact and intensity of specific risk scenarios in Pakistan. These scenarios include a terrorist strike against a business interest, the escalation into full-scale war of Pakistan's dispute with India over Kashmir, and the takeover of the government by the military or Islamist forces. Aside from the areas of security and politics, risk scenarios for government effectiveness, macroeconomy, labour market, tax policy, infrastructure, and foreign trade and payments are also evaluated.
