Abstract

Motion capture has been used extensively to study the golf swing in the laboratory. As motion capture technology has become more sophisticated and less expensive, the number of research studies has increased as has the scope of these research studies. Motion capture technology has become so accessible that it is now being used outside of the laboratory, for golf instruction, coaching and club fitting. The use of this technology can enhance the teaching or club fitting experience, and will likely lead to increased understanding of the biomechanics of the golf swing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
