Abstract

The article provides information on the low-density polyethylene (LDPE) feedstock ethylene becoming cheaper due to the presence of surplus natural gas in North America. It states that further decline may occur in LDPE prices by the impact of cash costs fall in July, and early recovery in supply. It also states that natural gas is cheap in North America which leads to cheaper ethane content.
