Abstract
- The article offers information on the Chinese government's 11th five-year plan that was launched in 2006 which aimed at strong international competitiveness by the end of 2010. The target was for China to create a group of enterprises that have strong proprietary and intellectual property rights and famous brands. It adds that the emergent superpower has aimed for patriotic branding and symbolic representation of China.
