Abstract
- The article features graphic artist Kaethe Kollwitz. Kollwitz was faced with challenges in her life especially during the era of the Third Reich. Her work was expelled from the Kronprinzenpalais, Berlin's Museum of Modern Art, after her resignation from the Prussian Academy of Art. Stripped of her title as professor, galleries were forbidden to exhibit her work. Most of her works including lithographs, etchings, woodcuts and metal plates were lost in the course of the war.
