Abstract

The article discusses publication updates and art events. The author acknowledges Gari Melchers as one of the few American painters whose works impressed European galleries including "The Sermon," "The Communion," and "Dutch Christening." The editors note that the rearing horse illustration used for the publication's logotype was taken from a bronze model attributed to Leonardo da Vinci. Also reported were the resignations of Watson-Guptill staff in 1950 which included Arthur Guptill, Ed Kolsby, and Leighton Guptill.
