Abstract

The article discusses the basic principles in calligraphy. To start, a type of paper that is smooth and not too absorbent can be used to write on. It is stated that the ink used should be thin but not watery, and free flowing, with thinned down opaque colors working well with practice. The author shares that a pen with a wide nib, about 1/8 of an inch, is best to start with.
