Abstract
- The author relates his experiences in drawing portraits of some of his sitters. He has drawn the portraits of his then six-year-old son Ezio Pinza, industrialist Henry Ford II, statesman Bernard Baruch, tenor Richard Tucker, former U.S. President Herbert Hoover, baseball player Phil Rizzuto, Cardinal Spellman, and Commander E. F. McDonald, Jr. According to the author, he draws using four things, namely, paper, charcoal, light and conversation.
