Experimental study of a dipole with feed-points displaced transverse to dipole axis.

Experimental investigations are carried out to verify the recently known theoretical properties of a centre-fed dipole antenna with feed-points displaced transverse to its axis (DAFDTA) A comparative study of the theoretical and experimental properties of a DAFDTA for various feed-point displacement R is presented. The experimental set-up and measurement technique are illustrated by schematic diagrams and actual photographs along with a systematic step by step procedure. It is found that theoretical and experimental results are in good agreement for feed-point displacement R less than 01<lgr>. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
