Abstract: This section offers news briefs on the field of art. Henry C. Pitz is being honored by the Philadelphia Art Alliance with a one-man show of his oils, drawings, and watercolors from October 3 to November 2, 1958. To assist musicians, playwrights, theatrical directors, and painters, sculptors, and related artists, the Ford Foundation appropriated 635,000 U.S. dollars to sponsor four new programs. Adelphi College of Garden City, New York has recently accorded an honorary degree of Doctor of Fine Arts to Albert Dorne, a well-known illustrator.
