Abstract

The article presents information on an iconographic analysis of a snuff tray that is present in the collection of the Denver Art Museum in Colorado. Tiwanaku iconography has been used to test the hypothesis that this iconographic system is independent of exclusive political entities. It is stated that Tiwanaku iconography resembles the notions of textual narratives.
