Abstract

The article features artist Daniel Chard. His landscape paintings enjoyed collector demand after his first solo show at the O.K. Harries Works of Art Gallery in SoHo, New York City. He entered the University of South Dakota in 1956 and shifted to studying art in his junior year. After he got married, he returned to New Jersey and since 1968 taught at the art department at Glassboro State College. He considers each of his landscape painting as a new problem to be solved but does not rule out the possibility of going into still-life or figure painting.
