Abstract
- The article profiles artist Morris Blackburn who began his artistic journey toward the mastery of his different media namely oil, watercolor, gouache, egg tempera, casein and acrylic colors. He was born in 1902 and he studied at the school of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where he now teaches in 1970. In 1928 and 1929, Blackburn won Cresson European scholarships while a student. Several photographs of his paintings are presented including "Red Sky" and "Expedition."
