Abstract

The article investigates the decomposition methods in agricultural productivity growth and technological change in Bangladesh. It discusses the basic mathematics of alternative crop production decomposition methods. The percentage of change in crop production and the contributions of various components to growth of aggregate crop output growth are presented. The article discusses the real contribution of the Green Revolution to increased agricultural output in Bangladesh.
