Abstract
- The article discusses the works of social scientist Brij Mohan. The author says that Mohan uses a holistic approach to addressing social problems and his study about social psychiatry earned him the title of Father of Social Psychiatry in India. Due to persuasion from former Louisiana State University School of Social Work acting dean Scott Briar who is also his predecessor, Mohan applied for permanent dean post and was accepted. Among his topics of interest are freedom and oppression, ideology and values, social development and welfare.
