Abstract

Abstract: Injuries sustained by major vessels during procurement pose a major threat to organ viability. Aortic and inferior vena cava lacerations produce rapid hemorrhage associated with hypoperfusion and ischemic damage. We describe a technique that will prevent such damage in the event of vascular mishaps. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
