Abstract
- The article presents a case study on the role of research on medicinal plants in primary health care in Guinea. It discusses the establishment of reciprocity and benefit sharing through a four-year ethnobotanical research partnership of Shaman Pharmaceuticals and The Republic of Guinea in West Africa. It also details the establishment of prior informed consent and collaborative research agreements among a variety of stakeholders.
