Abstract
- The article notes issues connected with behavioral change and the effect it has on library administration. Difficulties in promoting change in other people, ways in which organizations can facilitate change, and the process of behavior change are examined. The author notes that change is more likely to occur in settings which encourage collaboration, broadly defined roles, free flow of information, and user-centered focus. A 2005 article by Alan Deutschman published in "Fast Company" magazine concerning people's inability to change is also discussed.
