Abstract
- The article focuses on the social and economic influences which affect Tibetan Buddhism in China. It states that social and economic changes in China have resulted in the need for Buddhist monasteries to promulgate administrative arrangements. It also says that the administration of the Democratic Committee of Monastic Administration gave monks and nuns a sense of citizenship. Moreover, it tells that the monastic reform gave monasteries a social force equal with the government.
