Abstract

The interaction of mesoporous chromium( iii) terephthalate [Cr<subscript>3</subscript>O(C<subscript>8</subscript>H<subscript>4</subscript>O<subscript>4</subscript>)<subscript>3</subscript>F(H<subscript>2</subscript>O)<subscript>2</subscript>] (MIL-101) with an aqueous solution of the anionic cluster [Re<subscript>4</subscript>S<subscript>4</subscript>F<subscript>12</subscript>]<superscript>4−</superscript> ({Re<subscript>4</subscript>}) afforded a novel hybrid material {Re<subscript>4</subscript>}@MIL-101. According to the elemental analysis data, one cavity of the nanoporous framework contains up to two-three tetranuclear rhenium clusters. The hybrid sorbent obtained reversibly absorbs up to 3.7 wt.% hydrogen at 77 K and 30 atm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
