Abstract

The article offers information on the tourmaline crystals and related microscopic rutile crystals formation at the sedimentary rock and diagenetic place in Bigelow in St. Lawrence County, New York. It suggests sequence of events for the formation of the crystals including the formation of unsorted sandstones, authigenic formation of brown uvite crystals in sandstones, and tectonic activities. It also discusses several minerals found in the formation which include calcite, dravite, and feldspar.
