Abstract
- The article focuses on the developments in the commercial paper market of Europe as of April 30, 2010. It was observed that investors have been ending their paper while others decided to cut their lines on Portuguese banks backed by the sovereign due to the downgrading of the country's local and foreign currency sovereign issuer credit rating and local and foreign currency short-term ratings. Details related to the bond issuances of the Republic of Portugal, Millennium BCP, and Allied Irish Banks are also given.
