Intra-European medical travel remains minor: a commentary in response to ‘Hermesse J, Lewalle H, Palm W. Patient mobility within the European Union. Eur J of Public Health. 1997’.

In this article the author discusses the low cross-border healthcare which was responsible for only 1% of public expenditure on healthcare in Europe. He is critical on the increased cooperation of European healthcare providers and policy makers in cross-border healthcare. Also stated is the European citizen's series of cases to the European Court of Justice (ECJ) to seek rights to reimbursement.
