Abstract
- The article presents a study on the use of polymerase-chain reaction (PCR), which uses specific primers complimentary, to mollicute species. It says that the method involves DNA extraction, the use of specific primers, and cloning of amplicon using PCR. It reveals that the PCR-based method is fast and reproducible as well as highly sensitive and specific for the detection of dominant mycoplasmas within cell cultures.
