Abstract

The article presents a study which evaluates the incidence of intrathoracic manifestations in patients who have diagnosed with cervical anastomotic leakage after transhiatal (THO) and transthoracic oesophagectomy (TTO) surgery. It uses regression analysis to determine possible risks of manifestations, wherein manifestations were compared after cervical anastomotic leak. Results of the study show the influence of intrathoracic manifestations with protracted hospital stay and high mortality rate.
