Abstract
- This article describes a reading and writing project involving photographs in an elementary school. The students created a photograph library and then were guided by their teachers to write texts using the photos as prompts for the writings. Once the texts were finished, they were viewed on computer screens, posted online, e-mailed home, and printed and bound. When the project was complete, any member of the school community could access the photographs and text. The article provides a detailed description of the teaching process and the collection and loading of images.
