Human resources.

The article presents an overview of conditions in Norway's human resources sector, labour laws and the labour market. The unemployment rate stood at 2.6 percent in 2008, increased to 3.2 percent in 2009 and is expected to rise to 3.7 percent in 2010. A new labour law which provides for greater flexibility for employers and employees was implemented in 2006. A list of Norway's main labour laws is presented. A discussion of Norway's wage and fringe benefits, working hours and salaries as of October 2009 is also presented.
