Abstract

We report the case of a 2-year-old infant who developed a staphylococcal septicaemia that subsequently resulted in an epidural abscess and paraparesis. The significance of early diagnosis and the roles of anterior surgery to decompress the spinal cord, debride infection and correct deformity are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
