Acute diffuse myocyte necrosis evidenced with 111In-antimyosin antibody scintigraphy in a patient with aortic stenosis.

¹¹¹In-AMA scintigraphy coupled with rest ²⁰¹Tl imaging may be useful for the positive diagnosis of subacute myocardial necrosis in patients with angina, aortic stenosis, and normal coronary arteries. The present observation suggests that diffuse myocyte necrosis, histologically confirmed in this case, can be identified with ¹¹¹In-AMA and may be a cause of cardiac complications in such patients.
