Abstract
- The article reports on the research on the efficacy of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) in treating patients with end-state kidney disease (ESKD) in Tokyo, Japan. Researchers found that HIF can improve the long-term survival of patients who undergone kidney transplant because it preconditions the donated kidney. Moreover, HIF can coordinate the activation of various protective genes and protection against their initial injury.
