Abstract: The article presents the response of the authors to a reaction by D. L. Longo to their study on the increased risk of stroke and transient ischemic attack following Hodgkin lymphoma. Longo made a criticism on the use of radiotherapy in the treatment of Hodgkin lymphoma. Longo further mentioned that the effectivity of chemotherapy may be compared to combined modality treatment. The authors argue that Longo overestimated the effectivity of chemotherapy alone in the treatment and underestimated its toxicity.
