Abstract
- The article offers suggestions for growing various types of flowers, vegetables and other plants in the cool climate zone of Victoria, Tasmania and mountain areas in Australia. It states that two types of the Crocus (C.) flower, C. speciosus and C. sativus, bloom in autumn. It mentions that C. sativus, the saffron crocus flowers, are used for making dyes, medicines and eons. It suggests to use fallen leaves in mulching and making compost, and offers suggestions for planting broad beans.
