Abstract
- Simulation-based optimization for industrial processlines is discussed in this paper. Our approach combinesmultidisciplinary modeling, modern sensitivity analysismethodology as well as multiobjective optimization bymeans of object-oriented software design principles. As aresult, a simulation and optimization approach that can beextended and modified due to users' needs can be developed. Our approach is illustrated by a real-world examplefrom papermaking industry.
