The article reports on the political condition in April 2010 in Germany. The German government was undecided about Greek bailout because of the increased domestic opposition to a bail out. The establishment of a European monetary fund had been proposed by Federal Minister of Finance Wolfgang Schäuble. A Politbarometer poll discovered that only 27% of respondents approved the performance of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).
