Abstract

The article discusses the study wherein the achievements in developing and testing a tool to detect the composition of ambient ions in the mass/charge range up to 200 Th are presented. The instrument is an Atmospheric Pressure Interface Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometer (APi-TOF, Tofwerk AG) which was tested and applied to outdoor air sampling at the SMEAR lll station in Helsinki, Finland.
