Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the association between early stage lung cancer and protein plasma levels. The study was divided into two cases, one involves 103 plasma samples taken from 52 lung cancer patients and 51 healthy smokers and another includes 16 computerized tomography (CT) screen-detected lung cancer patients and 406 smokers. Results of the time-of-flight mass spectrometry reveal that serum amyloid protein (SAA) increase the risk among lung cancer patients.
