Abstract

The article focuses on a report on research and development (R&D) activities in several provinces in Canada in 2007/2008. It was noted that Ontario remains the top province with the highest R&D expenditures, followed by Quebec and Alberta. It states that British Columbia obtained the highest rise in the cost of scientific and technological (S&T) initiatives, with more than 41%, compared with six other provinces. The growth in the cost of scientific activities was attributed to the R&D contract of the Aurora Research Institute.
