Abstract
- The article presents a study that examines the use of Hospital Discharge (HD) data to compare fatal and non-fatal work-related injuries among Hispanic workers in New Jersey. Poisson regression is used to provide the types of fatal and non-fatal injuries. Results of the study indicate that the Hispanic workers have an increased risk of work-related injuries than those with the non-Hispanic. It suggests that HD data are effective in monitoring trends over time among ethnic groups and injury types.
