Abstract
- The article discusses findings of a study which examined how climate conditions affect the annual life cycle of birds and the relationship between population size and distribution traits for the central European population of the red-backed shrike. Researchers determined the direct impact of climate on the body reserves of migrating birds including ambient temperature, wind speed, and direction. The study concludes that timing of breeding of the red-backed shrike was directly affected by spring temperatures and the size of the population.
