Abstract
- The article reports on the unfair-trade case filed by U.S. producers of welded austenitic stainless steel pressure pipe against China, alleging that dumped and subsidized imports are damaging the U.S. industry. It states that the petitioners calculated dumping margins of 25 to 45 percent and also asked for countervailing duties. According to U.S. producers, their Chinese competitors benefit from several subsidy programs which permit them to sell products in the U.S. at less than their fair value.
