The article reports that Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based apparel company Hanesbrands Inc. will end its own yarn manufacture as a part of its strategy and will get its yarn needs from large-scale yarn suppliers. The company has agreed to sell most of its yarn-manufacturing operations to another manufacturer Parkdale Mills Inc. Moreover, it notes that the sale will close in the 4th quarter of 2009 and Parkdale is expected to operate three of the Hanesbrands yarn-production plants.
