Abstract
- The article focuses on the events and global achievements in India from 1986 to 1990. In 1986, the first in vitro fertilization (IVF) baby in India named Harsha Chawda was born at the K. E. M. Hospital in Mumbai. On March 7, 1987 cricket player Sunil Manohar became the first player to score 10, 000 test runs in a game at the Sardar Patel Stadium. The book "The Satanic Verses," by Salman Rushdie published on September 25, 1988 was banned in Great Britain was banned by the Rajiv Gandhi government.
