Abstract
- The article offers information on the phenotypic, serological and molecular evidence of Chryseobacterium piscicola in farmed Atlantic salmon. It describes that phenotypic and biochemical investigations results in classification of the isolates in the genus Chryseobacterium as the new species Chryseobacterium piscicola. It also reports the results of a comparative study of Chryseobacterium isolates obtained from freshwater salmonid farms in Chile and the two isolates from Finland.
