Conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the survey revealed continued improvement of business conditions for New York manufacturers from August to September 2009. General business conditions index rose from 12.1 to 18.9 while the new orders index was up from 13.4 to 19.8. The price paid index also rose to 20.2, up 6.4 points.
