PREMIUMS ON CONVERTIBLE BONDS: A REPLY.

The article presents a response from Roman L. Weil, Joel E. Segall, and David Green, Jr. (WSG) to various critics who commented on their paper entitled "Premiums on Convertible Bonds," which was published in the June, 1968 edition of the "Journal of Finance." They acknowledge the validity of some of the criticisms made by David Duvel, but not all. They substantially disagree with commentary from Glen Mumey and J. Phillip Cooper. Owing to the volume of responses their paper attracted, though, they have decided to rerun their data and publish updated findings.
