Abstract: The article presents a political and economic policy outlook for the Czech Republic for 2010 to 2011. It is predicted that the non-partisan interim government will remain in power until the next general election in the middle of 2010 after the centre-right government lost a confidence vote. Based on an approved fiscal austerity package, the 2010 draft deficit is targeted at 5.3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
