Abstract
- The article examines the impact of technical progress on macroeconomics. To take into account the effect of technical progress on the allocation of relative prices and resources, the aggregative approach must be discarded in favor of a multi-sectoral model. The change in labor input takes into account the changes in the hours worked per year, the change in employment per unit of output, and for the economy as a whole and for most of the major sectors, the change in the quality of labor caused by shifts in the occupational distribution.
